Role Overview:
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced SEO Specialist ready to make a significant impact. In this leadership role, you'll spearhead complex SEO campaigns for key clients, consistently exceeding expectations and delivering measurable results. As a strategic thinker and data-driven analyst, you'll be a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the evolving organic landscape. Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual understanding.
Understand clients' business goals, target audiences, and competitive landscapes to develop tailored SEO strategies.
Proactively communicate campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to clients through regular meetings and reports.
Identify opportunities for account growth and upselling relevant services.
Manage client expectations and address any concerns or issues effectively and professionally.
SEO Strategy & Execution:
Develop comprehensive SEO strategies encompassing technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and off-page link building.
Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify relevant and high-potential search terms.
Perform technical SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations for website improvements.
Oversee the implementation of on-page optimisation tactics, including meta descriptions, title tags, header tags, and content optimisation.
Collaborate with content teams to develop and optimize high-quality, engaging content that aligns with SEO goals.
Develop and execute effective link-building strategies to improve website authority and visibility.
Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Utilize SEO analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to track, analyze, and report on campaign performance.
Develop insightful reports that clearly communicate key metrics, progress against goals, and actionable recommendations.
Identify and interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to inform strategic decisions.
Present performance reports and insights to clients in a clear and concise manner.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including content, development, and paid media specialists, to ensure integrated campaign execution.
Potentially mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices within the SEO team and wider business.
New Business and Pitching:
Contribute to new business development efforts, including participating in pitches and presentations.
Develop and present compelling SEO strategies to potential clients.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Contribute to the creation of proposals and pitch decks.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in an SEO role, with a significant portion in an account management or client-facing capacity.
Deep understanding of SEO principles, techniques, and best practices across technical, on-page, and off-page optimisation.
Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing successful SEO strategies that have delivered tangible results for clients.
Strong proficiency in using industry-standard SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with clients at all levels.
Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with local SEO.
Knowledge of paid search (PPC) and social media marketing principles.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Google Analytics Individual Qualification).
